I am Jean-Luc Benazet. I have photographed Cambridge for 27+ years, and Cambridge Photographers is the company I run with a small group of seasoned colleagues. We work quietly inside offices, labs and venues without disrupting the day. Most of our clients are HR leads, marketing managers and founders who need consistent, on-brand images they can use everywhere, from LinkedIn to investor decks to the company website. Corporate headshots {#headshots}

Headshots are the bookings we are best known for. We set up a small lighting kit in any meeting room with a plain wall, photograph staff in short slots, and produce clean, modern images on a colour-matched background. Up to 25 people per half-day is comfortable, more across a full day. From £160 for the first hour, £100 each additional hour, plus £10 per person photographed so finance teams can split the cost cleanly.
We retouch lightly, no over-smoothing. Files come web-ready and print-ready.

Corporate and workplace photography {#workplace}

Workplace photography is what we make when a company needs to look like itself. Real teams, real desks, the lab actually working, a meeting that is genuinely happening. We spend a half or full day on-site, plan a shot list with the marketing lead in advance, and photograph candidly and with light direction where it helps.
The images sit nicely on the website, in recruitment campaigns and in press releases. From £160 for the first hour, £100 each additional.

Commercial, PR and product {#commercial}

Commercial work covers the images you license: campaign visuals, founder press portraits, product on white or in context, and editorial-style sets for trade publications. We agree usage upfront and keep licensing simple.
From £160 the first hour, £100 each additional. For larger campaigns we will quote a flat day rate after a short brief.

Conferences, awards and corporate events {#events}

We cover conferences at the West Hub and Cambridge Union, awards evenings at Madingley Hall and Quy Mill, company parties and panel discussions.
Two-photographer cover is available for larger events. Coverage is from £160 the first hour, £100 each additional.

New offers, ask for the brief {#retainers}

Two newer offers that larger teams have asked for.

Quarterly Headshot Refresh retainer. Four sessions a year for new joiners and refreshed leadership shots, with a shared visual style across all four. Indicative annual cost £3,400, scoped per company.

Brand library day. One full day on-site producing a complete refreshed image library: leadership, teams, workspace, product. Flat £1,950 including retouching and a delivered, tagged gallery.

What a typical booking looks like

  • We agree the brief by email or a 15-minute call, then send a written confirmation.
  • On the day, we arrive 30 minutes early to set up. Headshot setups take roughly 5 to 7 minutes per person, so we comfortably photograph up to 25 staff per half-day.
  • We are NDA-friendly and happy to sign your standard form, common on the Biomedical Campus and at Granta Park.
  • You receive a preview selection within 24 hours.
  • Full edited gallery is delivered in 3 to 5 working days via a private link, with web-ready and print-ready files.

Named sectors and locations

We work regularly with biotech and life sciences teams on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and Granta Park, with fintech and software companies across the Cambridge Science Park, with law firms and accountants in the city centre, and with college admin and education teams at JBS and ARU and across the university estate. Whether your office is at the West Hub, on King’s Parade, off Mill Road or out at Wandlebury for a team away day, we know the parking, the light and the quietest spots to photograph in.

FAQ

Yes. We sign company NDAs routinely, including on the Biomedical Campus. Send it ahead of the shoot and we will return it before we arrive.

Standard licence covers your website, social, internal use and PR distribution in perpetuity. Paid media and third-party licensing are quoted separately and stay simple.

The Quarterly Headshot Refresh runs as four scheduled half-days a year, invoiced quarterly. Cancellation with 14 days notice. No long lock-in.

Headshots: up to 25 people per half-day, up to 50 across a full day, comfortably. Larger teams we run across two days or with a second photographer.

We know the on-site parking at the Science Park, Biomedical Campus and Granta Park, and we use the multi-storeys for city-centre offices. We will not be late.

Standard BACS, 14-day terms, PO numbers welcomed. We can also invoice through procurement portals if you send a link.

No. We are not VAT-registered, so the price you see is the price you pay.

Yes. For press portraits and event coverage we can deliver a selected, edited image within 2 hours of finishing on request.
