What makes interior photography different

Interiors are unforgiving. A converging wall, a green cast from a fluorescent tube or a lens that makes a box room look like a ballroom, and the viewer stops trusting the picture.

So every Cambridge interior photography shoot is done from a tripod, with verticals kept straight. We balance the daylight from the windows with the lights inside, blending exposures by hand so the view outside is still there. We choose lenses that give an honest sense of size. We don’t use AI to add furniture, change the view or invent a sky. What people see in the photos is what they will find when they arrive.

How a Cambridge interior photography shoot works

1. Brief. A short call or email: which rooms or elevations, what the photos are for (website, listing, brochure, awards), and any deadline.
2. Timing. We check which way the rooms and the façade face, and book the time of day that suits the light. Exteriors often look best at dusk, with the lights on inside.
3. Preparation. We send a one-page checklist: clear surfaces, all bulbs working and matching, cables out of sight, cars moved from the front.
4. On the day. We work room by room from a tripod and make small styling adjustments as we go, such as moving a chair or straightening a cushion.
5. Delivery. Preview within 72 hours and the full edited set within 7–10 working days, as high-resolution files for print and web-sized versions for listings. Need your preview sooner? Mention it when you book and we can usually deliver within 24 hours.

Most Cambridge interior photography bookings for holiday lets and apartments take one to two hours. We’ll always suggest the shortest option that covers what you need.

Using the images. Your images are licensed for your own marketing. Architects and designers often want to share them with the builder, suppliers or a magazine. Tell us at the start and we’ll include that in the licence, at no extra cost for normal credited use.

Where we work

We offer Cambridge interior photography across the city and the county, including Ely, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, St Ives and Huntingdon. We travel further for the right project and quote the travel cost upfront.
