Cambridge wedding photography that feels natural — and looks premium.
You want the real moments and the flattering portraits — without spending the day being posed. We photograph weddings with a calm, confident approach: documentary storytelling when things are happening, then gentle direction when it matters (couple portraits, group photos, and the timeless “frame-it” images).
From college courts to countryside barns, we’re local and genuinely experienced — including weddings in all 31 colleges of the University of Cambridge, plus venues, hotels and country houses across Cambridgeshire (and beyond).
Tell us your venue and timings and we’ll suggest a smooth photo plan that protects your guest time.
How we photograph weddings in Cambridge
Cambridge weddings can move quickly — narrow lanes, strict college timings, and guest logistics across city and countryside. Our job is to keep it simple: make you look your best, keep the day flowing, and deliver a set of images that feels like you.
- Natural, unforced images of you and your guests.
- Beautiful details without interrupting the flow.
- Flattering light, tidy backgrounds, and elegant posing cues.
- Fast family combinations so everyone gets back to celebrating.
Many Cambridge University colleges are private spaces with their own photography rules. Because we’ve photographed weddings in every Cambridge college, we’re used to adapting quickly: choosing permitted locations, working efficiently, and keeping the tone respectful. If your venue has restrictions (or you’re unsure), we’ll help you plan around them.
Cambridgeshire venues we know well
One of the advantages of booking a local Cambridge wedding photographer is venue knowledge: where the light falls, where guests naturally gather, and how to get beautiful portraits without disrupting the flow of your day. Here are a few Cambridgeshire favourites we’ve covered extensively.
South Farm
Relaxed countryside charm with space to breathe. We love the mix of characterful buildings and garden backdrops — great for natural, documentary-style moments, and quick couple portraits that don’t feel staged.
- Ideal for: laid-back barn weddings with plenty of atmosphere.
- Photo highlights: garden corners, rustic textures, and a clean “just married” exit.
Longstowe Hall
A classic country-house look with elegant grounds — perfect for timeless portraits and group photos that feel polished, not forced. The scale of the setting gives you options, whatever the weather.
- Ideal for: couples who want a refined, editorial feel alongside real moments.
- Photo highlights: sweeping lawns, architectural details, and golden-hour light.
The Old Hall
Brilliant for intimate weddings where you want everything close together. We keep portraits efficient and flattering, then step back to let the day unfold naturally — speeches, laughter, and the in-between moments you’ll want to remember.
- Ideal for: smaller celebrations with a warm, personal feel.
- Photo highlights: character interiors, doorway portraits, and candid guest reactions.
Sheene Mill
A strong choice for riverside romance. The water and surrounding greenery make portraits feel calm and cinematic — and in the evening, it’s ideal for a quick low-light “wow” shot without keeping you from your guests.
- Ideal for: modern, elegant weddings with a relaxed pace.
- Photo highlights: riverside views, bridge/paths, and twilight portraits.

Wedding photography packages in Cambridge
Clear, honest pricing — with flexibility if your day runs a little longer. Most couples choose 8–10 hours to cover the story properly: preparations, ceremony, reception atmosphere, speeches, and relaxed portraits.
We price by the hour for shorter coverage, then reduce the rate as the day gets longer: £175 per hour for the first 4 hours, then £150 per hour afterwards. That structure rewards longer bookings and keeps things straightforward.
- Coverage includes planning help, calm direction for portraits and group photos, and a curated set of fully edited images.
- You’ll receive high-resolution downloads via an online gallery, ready to share, print and frame.
- Need more time on the day? Extra hours after the first 4 are simply £150/hour (subject to availability).
6 hours — £1,000
Ideal for shorter days: ceremony, drinks reception, portraits, groups, and the start of the meal or speeches.
- Best for: micro weddings, intimate venue days, and streamlined timelines.
- Includes: couple portraits + family/group photos without the faff.
8 hours — £1,300
A balanced option that usually covers preparations through to speeches and plenty of guest atmosphere.
- Best for: most Cambridge and Cambridgeshire weddings.
- Plenty of time for: relaxed portraits and a complete story.
10 hours — £1,600
For full storytelling: more prep, more candids, and breathing space for portraits — without rushing.
- Best for: two-location days and larger guest lists.
- Great if you want: evening atmosphere or a quick night portrait.
12 hours — £1,900
Maximum coverage for big days and late finishes — perfect if you want everything captured from start to finish.
- Best for: full-day coverage with multiple venues and a lively evening.
- Includes: ample time for portraits, groups, and real moments throughout.
Not sure how many hours you need? Send your ceremony time and venues — we’ll recommend the smallest package that still gives you a complete, relaxed story.

Cambridge wedding photography — FAQs
We’re getting married at a Cambridge college — is that a problem?
Not at all — college weddings are some of our favourites. When you hire a college, the venue team will already have agreed which spaces you and your guests can use. We simply slot the photography into your timetable, work smoothly with the coordinator/porters if needed, and suggest the best courtyards, cloisters, staircases and garden spots for portraits — without dragging you away from your guests. If there are any house rules (chapel photography, confetti points, flash restrictions), we plan around them so everything runs beautifully.
We don’t like posing — will we look awkward?
No. We’ll give light-touch direction that feels natural: where to stand, what to do with hands, and how to move so you look relaxed. Most couples tell us it feels more like a walk and a chat than a “photoshoot”.
Can you include Cambridge landmarks (punting, The Backs, historic bridges)?
Yes, when timings and logistics allow. We’ll help you decide what’s realistic on the day (especially if guests are waiting) and whether it’s better to do a separate pre-wedding or post-wedding session for landmark portraits.
How do you handle large group photos?
We organise them like a pro: clear instructions, quick transitions, and a simple plan. If you can nominate a “helper” who knows key family faces, we can make group photos fast and painless.
Do you cover Cambridge and Cambridgeshire wedding venues and hotels?
Yes — we work across Cambridge city venues, countryside venues, hotels, barns, and country houses. And if your wedding is further afield, we’re happy to travel.
What’s your turnaround time and what do we receive?
You receive a curated set of fully edited, high-resolution images with consistent colour and flattering skin tones. Turnaround depends on the season and coverage length — we’ll confirm a realistic delivery estimate when you enquire.
Can we book you for an engagement shoot in Cambridge?
Yes. An engagement shoot is a brilliant warm-up: you get used to being photographed, we find what angles you love, and you end up with strong images for invitations or your wedding website.
