We do not shoot surprise proposals anymore. The planning of such a shoot can take several hours and the shoot itself is very difficult to pinpoint to one hour exactly. Given the fact that it is a high adrenaline situation, with so many details involved in that one act, the many things that can go wrong, especially if you are not from Cambridge, etc. It does not make business sense for us to spend all this time organising it for just one hour of photography. We can however recommend a colleague to you.

The Backs and River Cam are classics, but we also like quieter college edges, bridges, gardens, Grantchester Meadows and woodland options like Wandlebury. We’ll suggest a route based on light and crowds.

Light rain can look brilliant with umbrellas and sheltered spots. If the weather is genuinely awful, we can reschedule or adapt to more sheltered locations.
